Jaguar amazed friend and foe with the introduction of the XK 120 Open Two Seater (OTS) at the London Motor Show in 1948. The performance and design were unprecedented and all visitors were extremely enthusiastic. Created to introduce the new 3.4 twin camshaft 6 cylinder engine, the XK 120 was the fastest production car in the world (120 Miles per hour!). This was proven on the Oostende/Jabbeke highway in Belgium where members of the Royal Belgian Automobile Club achieved an average top speed of 132.6 Miles Per Hour in both directions. The only adjustments were the windscreen, which was replaced by a small Aero windshield and a slightly longer ratio rear axle transmission, which was available as an option from the factory.

To underline how sporty the brand was, Jaguar took part in prestigious races such as Lemans and won in 1951, 1953, 1955, 1956 and 1957. The 6 cylinder engine would be used in a modified form by Jaguar for more than 40 years in various models, including the E-Type....
In 1961, the E-Type was introduced at the Auto Salon in Geneva. Inspired by the D-Type that won in Lemans, this premiere was also a resounding success. This car had a claimed top speed of 150 MPH, was cheaper than its competitors and was simply beautiful. Rumour has it that Enzo Ferrari thought the E-Type was the most beautiful car ever made. The E-type had a 3.8 litres engine that was enlarged to 4.2 litres in 1965 and would only be succeeded by the F-Type in 2013.

EZ Electric Power Steering and Jaguar:
EZ Power Steering produces power steering for almost all Jaguars . The types for sale in our web shop are usually in stock. If you are interested in a type that is not listed please contact us.
We are proud to have clients such as Jaguar Heritage, SNG Barratt and CMC. The power steering that we have designed for these Jaguars almost always consists of new upper steering columns with integrated electric power steering that replace the original column and are installed invisibly under the dashboard. We are proud that these beautiful cars are now driven more often, partly due to our power steering, it would be a shame if these beautiful creations remained in the garage.
